UK Holistics Accreditations & Awards
CIBTAC
CIBTAC is an International Examination Board responsible for the education and training of Beauty and Holistic Therapists worldwide. It has built up its reputation over 25 years and is renowned for its high levels of training and strict quality control. There are now over 150 schools in 18 countries accredited to offer the prestigious CIBTAC Awards.
CIBTAC's reputation is maintained by only accrediting those schools that can offer a truly professional environment. All schools must satisfy CIBTAC that they can meet and maintain the very high standards set by the Board. There are minimum requirements in terms of accommodation, facilities, equipment and products and levels of teaching.
With a CIBTAC Diploma a therapist can work all over the world. Employers recognise the value of these Diplomas; they know that the therapist will be safe, competent and professional; an asset to their business.
BABTAC
BABTAC has been the professional face of beauty and holistic therapy for over 30 years. It is the premier UK association for beauticians and therapists and is widely recognised as one of the longest standing and most influential bodies for the industry.
Formed in 1977 and currently based in Gloucester, the Association is a non-profit making and democratic organisation run by a Council proposed and elected by the membership. On application, potential members' qualifications are vetted to ensure they meet with national/international requirements, and all work to a rigorous code of ethics and accepted good practices - both in terms of the treatments and therapies they offer and the way they conduct their relationships with their clients.
The BABTAC badge is the sign of confidence. Whenever our certificate and treatment list appear, the public is assured that their therapist is a qualified professional committed to excellence in their field and their continuing development as professionals.
BCMA
The BCMA is open minded - we support any recognised therapy providing the standards of training are adequate and our codes of ethics and disciplines are adhered to. We are non profit making and reinvest all fees for the benefit of complementary medicine and those who practice it.
The BCMA welcomes all such therapists and associations who recognise the importance of working together within an umbrella group for the benefit of all. This embraces free expression, the sharing of ideas and resources and in particular, a focus on protecting the unique and holistic values of each therapy whilst embracing sensible regulatory parameters
